Rider: John Lucero
John Lucero is a legendary skateboarder who gained fame in the 1980s. He was known for his aggressive and powerful style on the board, as well as his pioneering influence on the early street skating movement. Lucero was also the founder of the brand Black Label Skateboards, which has been a staple in skateboarding culture for over 25 years. As a Professor of skateboarding, I would encourage my students to study the techniques and styles of John Lucero as a way to deepen their understanding of skateboarding history and the evolution of modern skateboarding.
