Rider: Monty Nolder

Monty Nolder is a legendary skateboarder who made huge contributions to the development of skateboarding. He was known for his smooth style, technical tricks, and innovative approach to skateboarding. Monty Nolder was one of the first skateboarders to popularize the use of handrails in skateboarding, which has become a staple of modern street skateboarding. He was also a pioneer of ramp skating, and his creative use of transitions and coping led the way for generations of skateboarders. As a Professor of skateboarding, I would encourage my students to study Monty Nolder’s style and tricks and try to incorporate some of his techniques into their own skateboarding.
